Shilo
Shilo
9.2 m[30'] solid wing cruising cat
In the "Shilo" the English style solid wingdeck accommodation has been mated to the efficient rig and centerboards of the open wing cats. The result is a boat with a lot of comfort but still with a respectable performance under sail. This has not been gained at the expense of handling. The headsails can be roller reefing and the fully battened main uses a single line reefing system to allow simultaneous reefing of the tack and clew. Lazy jacks keep the sail securely on the boom when reefed or lowered. Only sitting headroom is available in the wing as standing headroom is difficult to achieve in a solid wing catamaran of this length without compromising wing deck clearance and windage.
