Rigger
Rigger
11.5 m[37.7'] centre cockpit cruising cat
The "Rigger" is what I call a serious cruising boat. By this I mean that certain aspects of the design have been modified by the requirements of ocean crossing. Foremost amongst these are an unusually high wing deck clearance for a solid wing boat, high forward freeboard and a relatively low cabin profile to reduce windage. The location of the mast at the centre cockpit means that all the sailing functions can be carried out from its confines. The crew never having to venture outside its safety. In the wingdeck there is sitting headroom only. In the hulls, the galley, shower and head have full standing headroom. Under the cockpit coamings is a passageway to the aft double cabins via the midships single cabins.
