This is a high speed [has been timed officially by NKK over the measured mile at 31.5 knots], ocean capable, displacement Catamaran that has been designed to fit the Japanese gross tonnage rule and the NKK scantling rules, while still retaining a spacious interior. The 'Red Diamond' quite clearly demonstrates that, with power Catamarans, the term displacement does not mean slow! It shows that a displacement power Catamaran can travel just as fast as a planing one while using considerably less HP/ fuel. The boat features such niceties as an ensuite sauna for the owner, and a complete set of office equipment. A domestic washing machine keeps things clean and all Italian kitchen appliances are a feature. Has a range of 800nm at 30 knots.
