Ferry 46:- 14 m [46'] 46 passenger ferry
These "aquabusses" demonstrated just how efficient the displacement Catamaran with a CS hull form could be as a very economical people mover. A large number of these vessels were built, and they are now scattered throughout Asia and the Pacific.
Construction was largely in flat panel with a composite superstructure placed on a female moulded lower hull. They took only three months to build and at the height of production were leaving the factory at the rate of one every three weeks. This basic semi-production line approach to the design and building of ferries and workboats is carried right through our extensive range of commercial designs. The lower CS hull can be built using our usual strip plank foam construction and other forms of composite construction, such as timber, are also applicable.
We can provide DXF files to allow for the CNC cutting of all parts of the vessel.
